The Matching Grant Employment Coordinator will provide employment services to clients enrolled to the State Funded Road to Self-Sufficiency (RSS) program. The main objective of this position is to assist clients secure full-time employment with benefits. Additionally, the position will work with RSS enrolled clients to identify employment barriers and assist in addressing those issues.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current knowledge of the U.S. Resettlement Program
- Maintain current knowledge of all Refugee and Immigrant Services programs;
- Enroll eligible refugees and asylees to RSS employment program; \
- Provide orientation regarding the program to those enrolled. Orientation should include, but not be limited to, a discussion of the importance of early employment and employment retention;
- Evaluate participants through intake and assessment and develop individual service plans designed for self-sufficiency;
- Contact area employers through mailings, phone inquiries, and person-to -person meetings to provide them program information and to inquire about job openings. Develop relationships with area employers that allow for the regular and ongoing placement of RSS clients;
- Assist participants in job search and in the submission of applications;
- Place participants in jobs appropriate to circumstance;
- Follow up with participants and employers to ensure retention and upgrade;
- Assist and lead in the provision of pre-employment trainings;
- Assist clients will completing resumes;
- Provide referrals and career counseling as needed;
- Monitor participants participation in English as a Second Language (and other trainings) through regular contact with the provider;
- Coordinate services with other area agencies using the Comprehensive Resettlement Plan (CRP);
- Complete all forms as required;
- Maintain accurate record of all services provided;
- Produce reports in a timely manner;
- Work as part of the program team and participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings;
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Three to five years’ experience working with adult English Language Learners, job seekers, or a combination thereof.
- Previous management or supervisory experience.

Languages
- Fluency in Ukrainian, Farsi /Dari, Pashto, Spanish, and Arabic preferred
- Knowledge of Amharic, Arabic, Burmese, Bhutanese, Chinese, and Nepali desirable

- Valid driver’s license and access to regular and reliable personal transportation required.
