The intern that will be part time in our Fairfax office, we are looking for these candidates to be bilingual in Spanish. Below are some of the activities they may perform. The intern may get the opportunity to be placed in a position at our company once successfully completing the internship. The intern (s) will be helping our Refugee Social Services Employment Program at LSSNCA with the following:
- Provide support to the employment team with creating resumes for our clients
- Assist with physical files organization
- Take employment team meeting notes and compile on Onenote for future reference and access
- copy, fax, and send out letters
- Assist bilingual clients with direction and explanations passed along by their Employment Coordinator
- Assist in creating flyers for outreach
- Assist in providing local agencies information about the RSSEP program
- Use of database and sharepoint
- Assist clients with jobvirsity
- Assist clients with physical and online applications
- Build relationships with community organizations and employers
- Assist Employment Coordinators and Employment Case Mangers with day to day responsibilities
Must haves:
- Be willing to learn
- Be punctual
- Be a team player
- Be able to work in a diverse population
- Basic computer skills
- 60-70 WPM
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Able to take direction from any Employment staff member
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Bilingual
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College (Associates Degree with atleast 2 years of experience)
