Position Title: Receptionist / Front Desk Assistant (TEST)
Program: Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Position Overview
This position is designed to help SCSEP participants gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment while building confidence and workplace skills. Participants will learn how to support front desk operations, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and become familiar with basic office systems and career site applications.
The role provides valuable exposure to administrative work and helps participants prepare for future employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings
- Help maintain organized files and office records
- Support data entry and basic administrative tasks
- Monitor office email and assist with responding to inquiries
- Learn how to navigate and use employer career sites
- Assist with creating accounts and applying for jobs online
- Learn how to upload resumes and complete online applications
- Support staff with special projects as assigned

Schedule
Flexible training schedule available.
Up to 29 hours per week in accordance with SCSEP guidelines.
SCSEP Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be 55 years or older
- Meet SCSEP eligibility requirements
- Be enrolled or in the process of enrolling in the SCSEP program
