Opportunity Description

Role Summary:
The Business Development and Proposal Support Consultant will play a pivotal role in identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities for the Cloud Control Studio Inc. This individual will be responsible for researching and qualifying leads, conducting outreach, and providing hands-on support throughout the entire proposal lifecycle—from opportunity identification to proposal development, submission, and staffing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills, with the ability to interface effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification & Research: Utilize Government Contracting researching tools to identify government opportunities that align with the company's business goals and capabilities.
  • Business Development Outreach: Conduct cold calls, send targeted cold emails, and engage in other outreach activities to develop relationships and advance opportunities.
  • Proposal Support: Assist with full-cycle proposal efforts, including opportunity tracking, proposal writing, content development, compliance checks, and staffing coordination.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Clearly articulate findings, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Content Development: Write and edit clear, concise, and persuasive content for proposals, outreach emails, capability statements, and other business materials.
  • Reporting & Tracking: Maintain accurate records of outreach, proposal progress, and pipeline opportunities to ensure transparency and alignment with company goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, proposal writing, or a related role within government contracting.
  • Strong research skills and experience leveraging tools such as CLEATUS (or similar software).
  • Demonstrated success in conducting outreach (cold calls, emails) and identifying viable opportunities.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create professional proposals, emails, and business communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience interfacing with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in a small business environment, especially within the government contracting industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
