Sales Development Representative

Location: Fairfax, Virginia

About Us: Cybrbase, Inc is a cybersecurity for transportation company, focusing on increasing the cyber resilience of small and rural transit agencies using their NIST-based SaaS platform.  Cybrbase is seeking a Sales Development Representative to support the Sales Manager in generating and qualifying leads, conducting market research, and engaging potential clients.  The applicant will receive hands on training conducting outreach, gain experience in sales and business development, develop key communication skills, work in a fast-paced business environment, and potential for full-time employment based on performance.

  • Identify and research potential leads using various sales tools and databases, namely the National Transit Database (NTD) and GovSpend platform.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, and cold calls to engage potential customers.
  • Qualify leads based on specific criteria and schedule meetings for the sales team.
    • Namely leads that are small and rural transit agencies with an operating expense of around $5 million in the last reported year.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating CRM records/deals with accurate lead information.
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives, including campaigns, webinars, and event outreach.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve messaging, outreach strategies, and lead conversion rates.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.

  • (Desired) Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with outreach via phone, email, and social media.
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and adapt to feedback.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service, sales, or marketing is a plus but not required.
  • (Desired) Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus.
