Position Overview:
Communications-Applied Technology (C-AT), a veteran-owned leader in tactical communication solutions, is seeking a creative, in-house Marketing Specialist to enhance our branding efforts, drive engagement, and support the expansion of our mission-critical communication products. Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation:
- Develop two (2) high-quality blogs per month, focusing on industry trends, communication challenges, and tactical technology relevant to our target audience.
- Create engaging email content for two (2) e-blasts per month, keeping our community updated on product news, industry insights, and events.
- Email Marketing:
- Use HubSpot Campaigns to send targeted e-blasts to our contact and lead lists.
- Monitor and analyze email campaign metrics, such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, and provide recommendations to optimize engagement.
- Social Media Management:
- Create and post 1-2 engaging social media posts per week across our platforms, including:
- LinkedIn
- Facebook
- Google My Business
- Instagram
- YouTube Shorts
- Use social media to highlight the role of C-AT's products in supporting first responders, emergency management, and government agencies.
- Blog Posting and Distribution:
- Publish blogs and Newsletters on our Hubspot website, optimizing content for search engines (SEO) and ensuring it resonates with our target audience.
- Lead List Management:
- Extract and maintain contact and lead lists using HubSpot CRM for effective targeting of email campaigns and outreach initiatives.
- SEO Marketing:
- Design and execute campaigns to generate qualified leads and increase product awareness.
- Optimize our website for search engines (SEO), improving organic search visibility for key tactical communication solutions and related terms.
- Strategic Marketing Initiatives:
- Identify trends in the communications technology industry and adapt marketing strategies to target relevant markets, ensuring we meet or exceed corporate goals.
- Implement campaigns to promote C-AT’s brand, mission, history, values, products, and capabilities to support sales growth and build lasting relationships with clients.
- Online Presence and Collaboration:
- Manage the corporate online presence to maximize website effectiveness, maintain a stellar reputation, promote branding, and increase web leads.
- Collaborate with the Sales Department to create and distribute sales materials and identify, attend, or sponsor industry events to accomplish sales objectives.
- Develop campaigns to maintain regular communications with past customers, fostering repeat business and highlighting new solutions.
- Monitor web and social media activity to maintain a positive corporate image, making updates as necessary and professionally engaging with audiences to cultivate new relationships while nurturing existing ones.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of marketing-related experience in a for-profit environment (a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar field is preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on lead generation, content creation, and social media.
- Proficiency in HubSpot for CRM management, email marketing, and campaign tracking.
- Highly creative with an exceptional command of the English language (verbal and written).
- Prior experience with content development and distribution via print and electronic means.
- Tech-savvy with familiarity using SEO/SEM techniques, AI, social media strategies, and deploying e-mail campaigns.
- Strong understanding of SEO, AI and content marketing best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A positive, service-oriented attitude, keen attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience using Hubspot for emails, newsletters, blogs and social media management.
- Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Creativity in developing engaging content tailored to diverse audiences.
- Prior experience in multi-location or industry-focused marketing campaigns is a plus.
