Medical Administrative Assistant (Clinical & Front Office Support)
Overview:
Family First Primary Care is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to support both front office and clinical operations. This hybrid role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience—from first contact to follow-up. The ideal candidate will be organized, empathetic, and adaptable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Front Desk Support:

Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth.

Accurately collect and enter patient information, including medical history and insurance details.

Assist patients in completing required forms and documentation.

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow throughout the day.

Respond to patient inquiries in person and via phone, routing messages to the appropriate provider or department.
Clinical Support:

Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

Prepare and sanitize examination rooms between visits.

Record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, height, and weight.

Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis), if qualified.
Administrative & Back Office Support:

Answer and triage phone calls and emails, schedule follow-up visits, and process referrals.

Maintain and update electronic and paper medical records, ensuring confidentiality.

Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and track follow-up care.

Monitor and restock medical supplies as needed.
Office Operations & Organization:

Maintain daily schedules and ensure efficient patient flow throughout the practice.

Sanitize and maintain medical equipment according to protocol.

Support the overall administrative and organizational functions of the office.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
-
Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent clinical experience (preferred).

Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
Experience:
-
Experience in a healthcare or primary care setting is highly desirable.

Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care procedures.

Experience with front desk operations and medical record handling is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

CPR/First Aid Certification.
