Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Specialist to lead our talent acquisition efforts and build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the hiring process, from creating job descriptions and placing advertisements to conducting interviews and completing onboarding procedures. This role involves developing strategic partnerships with educational institutions, community organizations, and professional networks to support ongoing recruitment efforts. The Recruitment Specialist will also oversee the candidate experience, ensuring thorough communication, background checks, and training. Success in this role is measured by tracking recruitment metrics and optimizing strategies for sourcing and retaining top talent.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all stages of the hiring process and recruiting strategy
- Create and update job descriptions, requirements, and objectives
- Create/maintain relationships with CNA schools, nursing schools, community colleges, churches and other appropriate organizations which can be utilized for recruitment
- Research potential hires on resume databases and portfolio sites
- Reach out to candidates via phone and email and follow up with regular communication
- Run ads as needed
- Place ads and write copy for open positions
- Conduct in-person, video, and phone interviews
- Conduct background checks, reference checks, and drug screening of candidates
- Complete onboarding paperwork and AxisCare training with candidates
- Attend job fairs and networking events to build a pool of candidates
- Track key performance indicators and report on recruiting metrics
- Track responses to all recruitment sources
Qualifications
- High school diploma - Associate or Bachelor's degree strongly recommended
- Previous experience as a Recruiter, Hiring Specialist, or related position
- At least one year of experience in administrative capacities, with experience relevant to recruiting, customer service and computer operation. Extensive experience in the home care field considered in lieu of other experience.
- Experience conducting interviews and background checks
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, co-workers and all supervisors
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects
