Job Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and positive Part-Time/Full-Time Property Management Inspector to join our property management team. The Property Management Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections of residential properties under our management to ensure they are well-maintained and meet safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Inspections:
Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess their condition, maintenance, and compliance with leasing agreements and regulations.
Document findings accurately using inspection checklists and photographs.
Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
Maintenance Oversight:
Coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors to address any maintenance or repair needs identified during inspections.
Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed satisfactorily and within the required timeframe.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that properties meet safety and health code requirements.
Verify that tenants comply with lease agreements and property rules.
Report any safety hazards or violations to the property manager.
Communication:
Maintain open and professional communication with tenants, property owners, and colleagues.
Provide inspection reports and updates to property managers and owners as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of inspection reports, photographs, maintenance requests, and other relevant documentation.
Prepare detailed reports for property owners and management as required.
Customer Service:
Address tenant inquiries and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
Assist tenants with understanding property rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in property management, inspections, or a related field is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify maintenance and safety issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of property maintenance and repair processes.
Proficiency in using digital tools and applications for documentation and reporting.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for property visits.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Flexibility to work on weekends as needed.
Working Hours:
Monday through Friday. Flexibility in scheduling is required especially during the end of month and beginning of month with move-ins and move-outs.
